MILWAUKEE, WISCONSIN
The Wisconsin Showhouse decorated a lovely mansion set on the shore of Lake Michigan. Designers worked with the current owners to transform formerly all-white rooms with an elegant palette of neutrals and brighter tones.

PASADENA, CALIFORNIA
Always a crowd pleaser, the 2003 Pasadena Showcase House of Design found a 1920's Spanish Colonial Revival mansion featuring spectacular views. Designers honored the home's history, coloring, and features as they updated over three dozen interior and exterior spaces. Unusual features in the home include 12th century floor tile in the entry, a paneled library with mezzanine, new 4,000 square foot addition and a pool and cabana area.

In Southern California the 2003 Orange County Philharmonic House of Design features a color scheme of pale yellow, sage green, red, and cream. Decorative painting, beaded fringe, and elaborate pillows highlighted many of the rooms. Look up as you visit, since many of the ceilings have been painted with designs, tromp l'oeil, and murals.
